Keepers at Howletts Wild Animal Park near Canterbury, England are celebrating the birth of a Brazilian Tapir. Born just a week ago, on the 27th October, the infant - who is yet to be named, is already venturing out into his enclosure whilst his mother, Corumba, keeps a close eye on him.

I'm not sure why basic information feels like such a requirement in the description of a blog I only visit at various hours of the night, but I'll still provide it because why the hell not? My name is Allison, and I am at the painfully young age of seventeen. I say painful because I'm about to start my second year of college at the University of Memphis. I graduated high school early. I am continuing to successfully overachieve by double-majoring in Anthropology and Japanese. To add onto my list of awesome, I've been a happy vegetarian since the very early months of 2007. I am typically sporting short red hair, a wonderful mixture of polka dots, floral, and oversized sweaters, and my legs haven't seen sunlight since I was thirteen. A recent addition to my life has been a fantastic curly-haired man that makes my face hurt from smiling too much. I have also adopted his cat as my spirit animal, and we have a derpy dog named Boris. As you can see, my life is fabulous, and I am in love with the world.
